Hair transplants...
So I really believe that hair transplants are the wave of the future! I am looking to get hair transplants & need some advice about how to apply at different companies who offer this service. I have done some shopping & found five that I really like... xxxxxxxxxx are my favorite! I love their mission statement, and they have such a cute flyer for their services. I have called them (multiple times - including the president of the company - I found his name & home number through some research online) but haven't heard back yet. I am going to be so disappointed if I can't get an appointment with them. But just in case, I went ahead & called the xxxxxxxxx shop. I again LOVE their philosophy xxxxxxxx & can totally see myself fitting into their client profile. I left a message for their Vice President of Hair Affairs & faxed them a resume of my favorite hair styles & what colors I would like to see offered. I have three other choices, but don't want to jinx my chances in case one of these two call me back for a meeting.
I am so excited you guys - I can't believe that soon I too will have hair transplants! YAY!! I just can't tell you what this means to me - I have always wanted this & think it will totally complete my life.
So wish me luck & give me some advice. I need to know definitely what to wear - especially jewelry because I want to make sure my earrings match my hair & all. I also need to know if any of you have gone through hair transplants & what I can expect. I need to know about money, how long it takes, do I get a certificate of completion after the transplants, etc. etc. I am just SO excited!!

The fact that your biggest worry is finding earrings to match the hair which you may or may not get says to me that you are not serious about the process and aren't committed to it. I don't like to support people who are very casual about their appearances. There are other options out there for people like you. Have you tried Rogaine or maybe a wig?

Okay, well obviously YOU are against hair transplants for some reason. Don't hate on me 'cause I'm fulfilling a dream. Rogaine & wigs are not for me. I am sure that some people are happy with them, but I am going all-the-way. My life will not be complete without hair transplants. And do you know how important earrings can be to the hair process? Cause I looked it up on the internet!

Ok please don't put words in my mouth. Thanks. I never said that I was against hair transplants. I just don't think that every middle-aged mofo on there with a couple grand burning a hole in his or her wallet should go online, see that transplants are an option, and go for it. The fact that you read about it on the internet only proves my point.

I know nothing about hair transplants, don't have them and don't have any experience with getting them, but I figured I am qualified to offer you some advice that you should most definitely follow!
Be yourself and have fun! You should also make sure you call other transplant groups that are outside your area.
You should wear white shoes when you go to actually get the transplants, too.

You should not seek transplant surgeons, they should SEEK you!
Get out in the community and get involved and get to know some ladies with similarly thinning hair that is now thick and lush.
What do you have to offer??? Just cause you want something doesn't mean you're entitled to it!

Awww - thank you so much! It is nice to know that people understand what I am seeking. I appreciate the white shoes tip - that is definitely something I will start shopping clearance sales for! Should they be open or closed toe? What about flip flops? Cause my cousin Hickey had found a pair of white flip flops - he said he found them on the side of the road one night. Probably when he was delivering those little bags to the people on the street. They had a little blood on them - he said that there was a bad woman that had been wearing them - she took his money & tried to take one of the bags from that other dude on the street, so he had to stop her. He said I could have them if I needed them - said the police wouldn't ever think to come to me about them. Now I don't know why the police would care about a pair of flip flops, but I went ahead & took them from him. Hickey knows a lot about the police - I sure do try to listen to him. But I was talking about something else I think...

White shoes? Eww...socks with the rubber grippy things are so much more comfortable and you don't have to worry about slipping and tearing out a stitch...or a plug.

Reading about things on the internet is a GREAT way to learn, thank you. I just need people to help me with the process of the hair transplants. It is my dream! And does it cost a couple grand? Really? Because I may need to borrow some money from my cousin, Hickey. It's a nickname really - but no one knows his real name anymore, so just Hickey. And he's got a real nice job. I don't know what it is exactly, only that he is on the phone a lot & has to drive to a lot of places at night. Usually early morning, actually. I think he delivers food to the homeless or something - he is always taking out some little bags to some people. I went with him once or twice - real nice guy. Handing out all these bags to people on the street. He even brought home a girl or two. Gave them a nice bed over at the Motel to sleep in so they wouldn't have to be on the street at night. Gave them some money the next morning too. Now where was I...

Thanks for the bump, AF. I had forgotten how much I loved this thread.
I still wonder how Cousin Hickey is doing...

How dare you make personal attacks like that to your own HT sisters. I'm reporting you!
