The email was sent in January 2014. It's not clear why it has come to light now.

The Kappa Sigma Fraternity issued a statement on Thursday confirming that the email's author had been a member of the fraternity's University of Maryland chapter at the time the email was sent. The fraternity also announced that the individual was "immediately suspended, pending an investigation."

I'm confused. In the original link, I didn't see anything about moms. Did I miss something? Because without any context, I took your post to mean that moms are responsible for raising children, and I really don't think you'd go that direction.

Yes. In addition to adding fuel to the fire, it also displaces and draws attention from where the real responsibilities lie: bigoted parents rearing bigoted sons and daughters. I'm about as WASP as they come, and reared a son that doesn't have a bigoted bone in his body. It's a mistake to kick us off the team because we are white!!!

I have to say that between this and the SAE chapter at OU situation, I find it pretty disturbing how "adults" are going out of their way to post the addresses and phone numbers of these people. People are upset. I get it but, there is no excuse for posting their addresses and phone numbers so random weirdoes can just show up in front of their houses to protest, vandalize, or cause harm.

The protest at Parker Rice's empty family home drew more reporters than protesters. The family had moved out within a day or two of the release of the video. Wonder if they will try to quietly put it up for sale & not go back?

Like I said above, if you read the essays to which Sen linked (and which had been linked and talked about somewhat in the OU thread), you'd see a context for his statement about white moms doing a better job raising their sons, and his follow-up that he was "talking to the white racist apologist moms here." (Emphasis his.)
