No, UIC is Illinois-Chicago. I am there now, but wasn't as an undergraduate.

There are people here who are familiar enough with both UIC and urban schools in general that you can probably get your questions answered. Fire away.

Exactly how many African American Greek Chapters are there at UIC, since it is a huge commuter campus? On the website they have some famililar ones listed but contact information is hard to find when it comes to looking for a recruitment counselor,etc ?

P.S. I'll be attending in August so any direction would be great Thanks !

If this is the case, and particularly if your screen-name reflects your real name, my advice would be to stop asking questions now. Read through threads, especially "stickied" threads, in the forums of the NPHC sororities, and you'll see how they do not answer questions related to membership or intake here.

OK. You're likely not going to find anything about "recruitment counselors" on there.

The NPHC members on Greekchat don't discuss membership, so you'll need to visit the website of the organization you're interested in or speak to members in real life. Good luck.

Thanks.. I wasn't asking about membership or recruitment to clarify a bit.. I just wanted to know if anyone had knowledge of there being any on the UIC campus that were active I understand the discrection.

I'm not NPHC, but I'm going to bite, just a little.

In general, the UIC greek life pages are not terribly well-maintained. For example, there is currently a 2009 Meet the Greeks night listed as an "upcoming event". Therefore, I suggest you start with the D9 websites and look for UIC, rather than starting with the UIC websites and looking for the D9.
