Being in Three Fraternities

Is it possible?

I am a founding father of a social Greek IFC approved fraternity at my campus.

Being someone interested in law, I joined Phi Alpha Delta a prelaw professional fraternity as well.

I also happen to double major in economics and I rushed for Delta Sigma Pi, a business fraternity, in the past. I didn't get a bid from them but I really liked them. I know it's not against Phi Alpha Delta bylaws to be part of another professional fraternity so long as its not prelaw.

So can anyone tell me if DSP allows for members as long as they are not in another business fraternity? I would like to try rushing them again.

Posting your question in multiple threads really won't get you an answer any quicker (it is after midnight on a Sunday night. . . .). Here is the information I found on the Delta Sigma Pi Website (googled Delta Sigma Pi and, wait for it, found the 'how to join link' under the 'about us' tab. . . .didn't take more than 30 seconds total to find the answer!)

Individual Membership

Candidates for membership in Delta Sigma Pi must receive an invitation to join from a local chapter, complete an orientation program, and demonstrate a willingness to perpetuate the ideals of the Fraternity. Cross-membership in Greek social fraternities and sororities is permitted, but members of Alpha Kappa Psi, Phi Gamma Nu and Phi Chi Theta are not permitted to join.

(just because you really liked them doesn't mean they have to extend you a bid. . . .)

Apparently, you're a law student. If that is indeed the case, reading the bylaws of an organization you belong to should be part of your skill set.

Per his other posts, he's an undergrad. PAD has pre-law chapters as well as law school chapters.

And he said the PAD bylaws don't prohibit it, so he did read the bylaws of the organization he belongs to. It's the bylaws of the org he doesn't belong to that he had questions about.

I joined PAD through a pre-law chapter.
