Initiation Gifts

I didn't want to put this on one of the "main" boards, but I needed other opinions on this.

One of the women who I know will soon be initiated into a GLO other than mine, and I'd like to get her a small-to-medium priced gift. I had originally seen an adorable item with her mascot on it, but it's not available anymore.

There's a Christmas ornament with the crest on ebay. I have one just like it, and just love it. I just have this feeling that I shouldn't buy it, since another GLO's crest is on it.

Would it be the worst sin in the world if I did get it for her? Help, please!

As discussed in other threads, some orgs. allow the Badge/pin to be worn as a necklace. The lowest Alpha Gam one was about $45.00.

You're not breaking any laws by presenting a sorority member with her crest. LOL. Get the ornament and give it to her.

I think that I just had a problem with someone seeing my name and thinking, "why is she getting our crest?!" So, I got it!

I dont think anyone would have a problem with you buying it as a gift. I think it would be a real problem if you were WEARING the crest or using it for your self.

Just my two cents, though. :-)

I've said it before and I'll say it again:

The Delta Zeta ornament looks like a transvestite Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle.

The AOPi Panda looks like it's been hitting the bong a little too much:

The XO Owl looks like the spitting image of Tammy Faye Baker:

Holy crap. Last time I skimmed this thread I was too busy laughing and DZ turtle & friends to notice the price... $42? I can't find anywhere on the site that this is a "lot" price, but is that seriously the price for one ornament PLUS $8.50 shipping and handling? Unreal for some of these that look like they should be in a dollar store.

At least, not the Radko ones. I prefer the ones with a simple crest on them.

I do like the Radko badge ones - but the Gamma Phi one is not yet available.
