Beverly is very cool and very fun to talk to. I liked her a lot. Wish she was in the movie more. Her part got reduced in editing, unfortunately.

Just an FYI... We have discussed Ms. Lutz years before in several forums. And I can remember sending an email to IHQ back in 2003, they said they would look into it. But with a closed chapter who knows what the records are like. For what it is worth here is an archived JMU article on Ms. Lutz. http://www.jmu.edu/montpelier/issues...ain/blonde.htm
As soon as I get a kid free evening I will go see the House Bunny. I love that type of tongue in cheek humor.
Cheers!

I think it is hilarious that you all are so concerned as to whether I'm an AGD or not... for the record, I pledged in Fall of 84. My chapter no longer exists, so i'm sure it's hard to find records about me, and like i said before, i did tell IHQ to F off every time they asked me for a donation or whatnot, since they destroyed my chapter. In fact, i told them to take me off their mailing list and never litter my mailbox with their solicitations again, as i recall -- so perhaps they erased me from their database. Why did i do this? Because when I go back to JMU for homecoming, or to lecture, it says "Alpha Phi" on my sorority house. And that pisses me off! Nothing against Alpha Phi, of course (in fact, my mom was an Alpha Phi), but that house should say Alpha Gamma Delta!

I was going to stay quiet, but now I don't think I should.
You can't just come to a place like this and proudly state more than once that you told IHQ to fuck off for closing your chapter and claim you're an Alpha Gamma Delta...while trying to promote your g-ddamn movie. I know several of your sisters (myself included) felt uncomfortable by some of the comments you've made. Is this the way you really want to promote your movie?
FWIW, I (as an individual) have been treated poorly by some members of International Council. I've voiced my opinion about it here and there, but out of respect to my sisters, I try my best to keep my drama off GC. Maybe you can try to do the same. At least do it for your sisters.
And for the record, having one's chapter closed does not mean difficulty in finding one's records. You got what you want...Alpha Gam's not bothering you anymore. Maybe you really shouldn't be parading around as one, then.
There are hundreds of Alpha Gams from closed chapters who thankfully don't hold grudges against IHQ for closing their chapters. Many of them hold service positions in the Fraternity because they want to give back and they truly believe Sisterhood is for life. It's not limited to 4 years in college and a house currently being occupied by another sorority.

My thoughts exactly.
It's sad that there are people who only uses their affiliation when it benefits them and then turn around and trash talk the organization.
"Look at me! I'm a XYZ! Come watch my movie so it does well!"

Yet another reason I will not be seeing this movie.
My chapter was closed. It breaks my heart, but the fact is that I am a part of something much larger than my chapter. I continue to support my sorority because I truly believe in it, and who knows? Maybe some day my chapter will be able to return. But even if it doesn't, I know that I have made a difference in the lives of young women through my continued involvement with Gamma Phi.
And I still firmly believe that if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. Especially if you seem to be milking your association for professional gain . . .

This is going to be my last post here, because you all are filled with a bit too much vitriol for me, but hey, it's your board, snipe away -- i just showed up to clear up your misconceptions about the movie. (And for all of you who sent me sweet PMs, I don't mean to lump you in with the vitriolic crowd.)
Telling IHQ to take me off their mailing list is not "trash talking" it -- i just didn't want to hear from them any more since they shut us down. Everyone else in my chapter felt the same way. Should that prevent me from coming on a Greek Chat board and confirming that I was an Alpha Gam when that's questioned? No. Should it prevent me from posting in an AGD thread to let them know that one of their sisters wrote a movie? No. Especially since many chapters use that info for recruitment.
I loved my four years with my chapter and still keep in touch with many of my sisters. I think my love of that time is reflected in the fact that I've now written two movies that feature sororities. I also encourage every teenage girl I know to go Greek when she gets to college.
But I've gotta say, I will also be enouraging them to stay off this message board!

Karen's membership was in question because she didn't appear in Sister Search. Given all her accomplishments, many were wondering how come she never appeared on the Accomplished Alpha Gams list, either. We later found out that she told IHQ to "F off".
Given that we've had someone else falsely claim that she is an Alpha Gam (and also a Phi Mu) in the last three weeks, I don't blame anyone for being extra suspicious.

She's still logging in regularly, too. Not one response to any of those posts.
Hey ktbug, either step up and clear the numerous discrepancies in your story, or kindly remove your self-identification as an Alpha Gam in your signature. kthxbye.

Maybe she can't handle your extreme investigative skillllllzzzz.
It's like - going to the neighborhood basketball court, peeking through the chain link, but not having the balls to get back on the court because the players could smell that you're a poser.

Greekchat.com mentioned in Yahoo.com news article on The House Bunny
I don't know if this has already been mentioned (I wasn't going to wade through 15 threads to find out), but our beloved site has been mentioned in a Yahoo.com news article regarding criticism with the "creative licensing" used in the movie The House Bunny.
To add to that, one of our GC residents, SWTXBelle was quoted in the article.
