I still think Joshua Whopper is Cappy. From the description Dale read, it makes sense.

And I totally knew the RA's gf was dead.

I don't like the fact that they made this whole episode really "heavy" w/ the whole dead gf and stuff.

I agree...it kinda creeped me out to take something like a storyline with phalluses and then throw in the "dead girlfriend" bit....It was two much all at once.

Come to think of it-now that you mention it...maybe Cappy really is Joshua Whopper because apparently he gets all "A's" and somehow without even taking the class Cappy gets an "A" on the midterm. Either they go to some super easy (not hard to get into) college or it's a fluke...not sure.

I'll be watching next week!!! I'm such a dork!

Yeah! Cappy always seems to pull good grades outta the air, even when he doesn't go to class! lol. Plus Dale said something about Joshua Whopper being from a more wealthy family. When Dale said that I automatically thought of Cappy b/c he and Evan had been friends since they were little & they had gone to camp together, blah blah blah. I would have assumed that the Chambers moved in a wealthy circle & Cappy's family would have had to be in that circle.

IDK maybe i'm stretching, but I still think Joshua Whopper is Cappy. I mean, how is it that NO ONE knows who Joshua is? Unless they've only known him as "Cappy" lol

Epchick...I never thought of it that way until you mentioned all of those things-using great deductive reasoning. Since that's your story and you're stickin' to it...I'm hoppin' on your band wagon because it really makes sense when you put it like that. Now, I'm thinking back to when Rebecca was interviewing him (when she first met him) and she said it was name that his parents named him that...I decided to check out what his name would mean and this is what I found for the name Joshua:

JOSHUA m English, Biblical
From the Hebrew name יְהוֹשֻׁעַ (Yehoshu'a) meaning "YAHWEH is salvation"... [more]

If it really does mean this-maybe that's why they said it was "ironic"..just a thought....now, I'm on this hunt for Joshua Whopper with you Epchick...We will find out!

I think I remember Cappy saying that he and Evan went to summer camp together, but the only reason he went to that summer camp was because his parents work there.

However, I missed last week's episode. There's always some sort of mystery surrounding Cappy.

Yeah, his parents were hippies and that somehow plays into his real name.

Well he said that his name was "ironic" because his parents were hippy types.

His name could be Joshua, even w/ hippy parents, because it is not a very "hippy" name, thus it being ironic.

Maybe they named him with the Hellenized version of Yehoshu'a -- Jesus.

The whole "Joshua Whopper" name is a reference to the movie "War Games", where the computer WOPR (War Operations something something) is nicknamed "Joshua" by its creator. In the flashback they showed the Bill Gates lookalike sitting down at the computer to create the student file and the computer said, "Would you like to play a game?" exactly the way it did in the movie. I have fond memories of this movie because my husband proposed after we watched it.

Half the fun of watching Greek is trying to catch the references.

Kinda like Gilmore Girls, but less girly? I guess I never realized that there were cultural references in there (but I'm usually doing 10 other things while watching).

That's what I thought of when I heard that. That was a great movie and I'm glad AMC plays it every now and then. Matthew Broderick was so young!

I think I have crush on Max. He's so dreamy. ETA: Now I know why I think he's so dreamy. I didn't know he was Alexis Bledel's love interest in the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series!

YAY, GREEK IS BACK... Frannie is a bitch again, Chambers is a douche, Casey is putting her foot back in her mouth, this was one of my favorite episodes from the Never Have I ever (esp. when "i never slept with evan chambers")... to the Chambers manipulation for the French Grade, to Viva la Pledge Revolution.

Hahahaha...MysticCat, I love you! That was too funny and you are probably right! We will get to the bottom of this. I forgot his parents were hippies. That would be pretty funny if he was Joshua Whopper.

Oh wow...That sounds really good, too! I didn't even know about this movie called "War Games" so, you have taught me something. I'll have to check it out. I honestly didn't get the whole thing they were doing with the Whopper and sitting at a computer-I was completely lost at first. So, that would be the best answer, yet! That's pretty funny! Yes, I like how they have tons of references like when the KappaTau pledge said that his brothers were lazier than Paris Hilton's left eye. That was pretty creative considering I've always noticed that and wondered why even "The Soup" on "E" never made a comment like that about her.

Seriously, Frannie can't actually be running for president. She was removed by their nationals. Can't we bring a new charecter in who is vying for the spot to kinda mix it up. Maybe Rebecca should run?

And I totally heart Max!
