why have i not met anyone that felt this way in person?

my brother served two times over there, as well as several cousins, classmates, and my bff's husband. NONE of them said this. one told me he did nothing but walk around and get shot at...while i appreciate the veterans efforts (my father is a vet) it is definately a matter of opinion whether the war was a "mistake" or not. do i think Obama wanted to be disrespectful? no. does he support the troops? im pretty sure he does. but lets all remember that this is one opinion. and i sure could do a Mr. Mccain video myself...

I have met soldiers all along the political scale - yes, including those who very much think that the Iraq war was a mistake.

Sorry, the video just didn't do much to sway me, if that was it's goal.

Dear Mr. Obama,
I'm watching your Q&A session on CNN and realize that you understand nothing of any economic principles whatsoever.
Love,

I feel the same way. Many of my high school friends joined the service in '01/'02. I even have a college friend who graduated in '02 and immediately joined the Army because of what happened on 9/11 and is on his way to his 4th? 5th? tour to Iraq.

None of them feel that way at all.

I know it is all a matter of personal opinion, so if this guy feels that way cool, but there are plenty more that don't feel that way. Hmmmm where did that thread about Army suicide rates go?

Personally, I don't agree with the "war" (technically isn't it only a "war" if it is declared by congress?). W sent troops over there b/c of some "weapons of mass destruction" which, by the way, were never found. To me it sounded like he used Saddam's actions on his people as a secondary reason to go there. But I digress.

But like I said before, it's all a matter of personal opinion.

I know the first one's called "The Most Spine Chilling Video" about McCain, but the second one disturbed me even more.

Although, I haven't heard Palin speak enough on economics.

I really doubt it would help much -- just more "verbage."

(I wonder if she knew what that word really means when she kept using it to refer to refer McCain's comment on the economy?)
