UTC Recruitment

I'm going through recruitment in August at UTC in Chattanooga. I'm going into my 4th year at UTC but it's not my Senior year, I still have at least 2 years maybe three. Does anyone know if UTC usually doesn't like letting in "older" girls? I wasn't at a point where I could dedicate time to a sorority before now. Also, the reason I couldn't join earlier was of illnesses (which effected my grades and time) is this something that I should mention or should I leave it alone. My mom almost died twice my freshman and sophomore year, needless to say, I had a hard time.
