My cousin attends a 2-year community college nearby a large 4-year university, and for whatever reason decided to attend fraternity rush there. Inexplicably, he wound up receiving a bid and is now pledging. The fraternity knows that he is not a student at their school.
Now, I don't want to name the fraternity or the school here in a public forum, but I cannot imagine that there is any social GLO that officially allows this?

I've seen similar situations allowed in honorary orgs and other types of student organizations, and obviously there are city-wide chapters of some orgs which include multiple 4-year schools, but I have never heard of such a situation as my cousin's. Not being an expert on NIC fraternities, I don't want to tell him any incorrect information, but this all seems very sketchy to me from what I've heard so far.
