Texas Zeta Days in San Antonio was blast! There were 4 of us that rode together from Dallas including a friend that flew in from Cleveland.
We stopped at the city of West for kolaches. West is very Czech-influenced and the "Czech Stop" is legendary.

Friday night was the alumnae reception & dinner then we watched the collegians do "stomp" & t-shirt contests.
Saturday morning was the opening ceremony with ZTAF major donor presentations, scholarship awards, fun night awards and some alumnae awards. Collin County got a certificate for getting out 10% increase! Our VP/programs received the Zeta Lady award for our chapter and our VP/Membership received the "Lone Star" award for Outstanding continued service.
I went to a fun FRED seminar where we played versions of Hollywood Squares (I got picked to be a square!) & "Higher or Lower" from Price is Right. That was clever because it used items from the grocery store that send money to Komen or other breast cancer awareness foundations.
At lunch, Nan Boetcher did a "roll call" where you stand up if you fit the category. Since you are supposed to do it quickly, we always called it "popcorn". It gets everyone moving and is lots of fun. Also good for acknowledging different people in a group i.e. major donors, past scholarship recipients, past officers.
There was also the "Zeta spans a lifetime" service for seniors, the Order of the Shield/White Violet service, Certificate of Merit presentations with the keynote speaker, Laura Mauro. I wanted to talk more with Laura but she had to leave for another event.
Saturday night we decided to stay for the dinner cruise on the river. It was hysterical, with two little boats motoring along singing Zeta songs.
On the way back to Dallas, my friends asked to stop at West again. Can't get enough kolaches!
