OJ's book picked up by another publisher!!

I can't believe this! Did anyone else see this on the Today show this morning?

OJ's book "If I Did It" is being picked up by a smaller publisher after the court ruling that all the proceeds would go to the families of Ron and Nicole.

Still, I don't know if it should be published. Those children will be forced to relive it all over again.

OJ owes the family that money, not the general public. i understand the family fighting for the rights to the book, but in no way should it be released, and in no way should those funds count towards what he owes them.

i dont think i agree.

if the book was to be published as originally planned, OJ wasn't going to see any of the money because of the judgement he had against him. The Browns and the Goldmans were not going to allow OJ the chance to take that money and do what he wanted with it. when you get a judgement when it is enforced any money you make can be garnished to pay what you owe. given the current circumstances it seems the Goldmans are trying to beat everyone to the pass.

maybe to me it is just the fact that it is a "hypothetical" book about a murder that took 2 lives. i wouldnt want any money from a detailed, written description of how my child was slaughtered. and what if the book did so well, that he paid off all his debts and got to keep what was left? then what? there wouldnt have been anything they could do. i understand fighting to keep it from being released, or to gain rights to it, but it would be destroyed and OJ would be paying my money from something other than the "hypothetical" glorification of the death of my child.

Cosign!!!

i definitely agree with you 100%. and im also feeling ron goldman's approach as well. he comes off very passionate about this situation, til the point that he will be on his deathbed fighting to make sure his son gets the retribution he deserves. if that were me, i would be doing the same thing.

He was going to get around it by having the proceeds go to his children. None of OJ's debt would have been paid by the book before they sued for the rights.
