Did you think asking it here would yield a different result? As I said in DST Drive, ask it in the Omega forum. Sheesh

Maybe I don't get it? The web is all about democratization of access to information, whether good or ill, whether it complicates things or not. That's part of the price we pay for this gift. I don't claim to know why people ask certain things and why they choose to do so in certain forums. I do know that I don't spend all my time looking at all the posts on all the boards. I don't mind responding to anything that is not of a Ritualistic nature. In fact much of what is deemed "off limits" is not important and simply contemporary practices of a certain stratum or generation of various groups. It has nothing to do with "secrets" or anything of the sorts. Now,there is propietary information that shouldn't be shared in these forums--but that's not something I see done here anyway here. If anything, I think there needs to be more transparency,to expose practices,to put them into their proper perspevtive;for Greek organizations don't exist in a socio-cultural vaccum. There are certain types of discussions I won't engage in here at GC;they are for specific issues as they impinge on intragroup dyanamics within my Fraternity;but have broached these topics here, as is pertains to Greek life as a whole.
Per what "OWT" means. This is a term used by younger Ques that denotes doing something exhuberantly as it relates to the Fratenity and often connotes "animal house" behavior, but often it just means being there and showing that special Que enthusiasm in whatever one is engaged in for Omega.

That's more of an eastern Canada thing (Toronto and east). They talk like that in Halifax, NS. It sounds like "aboot" or even "a-boat".

Which is why I said ask in the Omega forum, not the DST forum, or here. Omegas originated the word--they should be the ones to explain it. What is so wrong about that? *sheesh, again*
