That dreaded co-worker(s)...(SO annoying!)
Hey greekchatters, when you go to work, is there someone who you work with who really gets on your last nerves? Is it the work he/she does, the mistakes he/she makes or maybe it's just that he/she totally annoys you.
Why does he/she annoy you? When you go to work and you see him/her in the morning/evening or whenever it is you work, what is it about him/her that makes you say to yourself "Oh dear God, just go away! Please!"
If it's more than one person, feel free to talk about them too.
ETA: And when I say dreaded, I don't mean in a fearful way, I'm talking about in a way that you just don't like that person for whatever reason.

At my undergrad internship, I worked in the Communications & Marketing office at the University.
There were 2 other interns who were in the office at the same time. We had an area of 3 desks/computers where we could sit and work on magazine stores/proofread stuff/do podcasts, etc. I loved it and loved Intern #2, but I really disliked Intern #3.
Intern #2 was a senior. We talked a little bit, but she was polite enough to be quiet when she came in and saw that I was working on something.
Intern #3 was not as considerate. She did nothing but talk from the time we sat down to the time we left. We tried ignoring her, but she would just keep going. Even when we were both clearly working on something, she just kept talking.
She was always going on and on about the Indians and would always ask "Did you guys see that game last night?" I hate baseball, so of coure I hadn't seen it. Then she'd proceed to tell me every detail of the game. Even though I was clearly looking at the computer screen.
She talked so much that one day Intern #2 snapped and said "Do you ever stop talking?" She laughed it off and said "no haha."
Our supervisor was rarely in the office on the days that we were in. It didn't matter usually because we got our assignments from the mag editors anyway. Since the guy never came in, Intern #3 figured it was okay to do her nails, talk on the phone, and try to talk to us everyday.
It got so bad that one day, the SECRETARY came back into our area and told her "I can hear you all the way up front, and so can the University officials and other clients who come here. You need to be quiet."
She started bawling and left early that day. The next week, our supervisor decided that he needed to come in everyday and 'babysit' us because the secretary told him about #3.
We couldn't talk to each other at all for the rest of the semester. Intern #3 ended up failing internship because she never actually did any work.

I am VERY fortunate to not have a single colleague who fits that description.
There is one who is a royal tattletale and has tattled on various people already. There are a few gossips- although the biggest one got transfered to another branch. There are a few who have done things that have gotten on my nerves- but out of cluelessness and not with the least bit of malice. There was one who was a micromanager- but motivated out of fear and not true anal retentiveness/OCPD. There is one who is super aloof and you cannot tell he is there unless you see him or check the schedule. And then there are politics.
But no, I cannot single out a single one that truly gets on my nerves so much. All but one of the colleagues/bosses I disliked worked for one particular school- exception one worked in a lab.

I work in a restaurant so there are alot of things my fellow servers do that tick me off. One thing I cannot stand is when servers brag about how much tips they made..its especially annoying when I made alot less than they did. There is this one guy that does it allllll the time and Im constantly telling him to shutup. But I always get such joy when he gets a shi*ty tip and starts whining..even though that is almost as annoying.

I have one with a voice that sounds like she's sucking helium and ghastly musical taste (which she feels the need to share with everyone, even though she has an office door she could shut). Oh and she's the biggest brown noser I've ever met in my professional career. She's not a horrible person, just annoying.
Does anyone else have the cliques of people at their job who MUST go to lunch ALL TOGETHER EVERY SINGLE FREAKING DAY? I mean, it's like they have a chip in their stomach that won't permit them to process food if they eat alone or something. I guess I'm more independent than most, I just find jr high behavior like that by adults a bit ridiculous.

^^ AMEN about the cliques. one of my self-proclaimed 'co-dependant' co-workers would rather sit in her car than eat in the cafeteria by herself. this is also the gossiper, btw.

Hey now. If I'm going out, there are two people I invite along. If they won't go, I'll go by myself. We usually just bring our lunches anyway. We've been called a clique before by LABELERS like y'all. LOL!

The key word in your answer is "IF."
We're talking about people who no matter what, have lunch together EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.

I eat with about the same group of people every day. The group changes when someone is out, has a meeting during lunch, etc, but it's a group of 6 and there are almost always at least 2 of us who show up to lunch. I do like to know if none of them can make it so I can take something to read. It's pretty damn boring to sit in a cafeteria for an hour with nothing to do. But, we probably look like one of those cliques. They are good friends and I enjoy having time to chit chat at lunch.

There is a married guy in the office - we used to be good friends. We would go to lunch together sometimes. Once, when my car needed repairs, we drove our own cars to the repair place, dropped mine off and went to lunch. We went back to work in his car, and at the end of the day, he took me to the repair place to pick up my car - he's a nice guy.
Well, this woman he worked with (she was his assistant) thought something was going on between us, so she called his wife and said we were having an affair! He caught hell at home and she kept calling my house (Caller ID is your friend). Whenever either I or my husband answered, she would hang up. If we let the machine get it, she would just hold the phone, breathing into it, for a few minutes.
Needless to say, that woman and I don't speak anymore. And my friend and I aren't as close anymore.

We have those. They only go to lunch together so they can gossip about other people at work. What I don't like is when people ask me what I'm doing for lunch. They ask because they want to go to lunch with me, and I like eating alone. I always say I have things to do during my lunch.
