Post Jury Spares Malvo's Life in Sniper Killing

This just in....
CHESAPEAKE, Va. - The jury in the Washington sniper case Tuesday spared Lee Boyd Malvo from the fate awaiting his mentor John Allen Muhammad — the death penalty — after his lawyers portrayed him as an impressionable boy who had fallen under Muhammad's murderous spell.

Malvo, 18, will be instead be locked away for the rest of his life.

Good. Now put him to work. The government has a budget crisis - why not solve it through cheap prison labor.

Well, it's easy to say I'd have gone for the death penalty, but I was not on the jury and don't have all the facts or circumstances... but...

I disagree.

Mohammed, yes, deserves the death penalty. While Malvo's crimes were just as heinous, i think he should have to live the rest of his life with the guilt of them hanging over him.

Good call on the jury's part.

What's the difference between the two? Age? That's BS... I believe he knew exactly what he was doing. But, like I said, I was not on the jury. I believe the jury was right. Notice I said that I didn't have all the info of the trial.

I don't see Malvo living in guilt. Nope. Don't see it.

I agree, he bragged to the police about the killings back when he was arrested. Don't think he is too guilty if he can't even pretend to be guilty to try to get a lighter sentence because he plead insanity.

Don't forget that Maryland and DC are looking to fry him as well... and they are considering putting him on trial there. Double jeopardy doesn't count in this case.
