1 Week left....

Until Christmas....

For those of you that are:

1. How much shopping do you have left?

2. Is there an impossible gift you can't find?

3. What's the weirdest request you have gotten or heard thus far?

4. have you seen anyone fight for a product? (Like, Wiis, Elmo or something like that?)

5. Where do you plan on being Christmas Eve?

Sitting by the manger at church, singing "Christmas Lullaby" by Jason Robert Brown for 2 or 3 services.

1. How much shopping do you have left? Gifts for my husband and stepson. I'm sending my mom out tonight to finish up for me, since I'm on bedrest 'till the baby comes.

2. Is there an impossible gift you can't find? The baby boy version of "Baby Alive" for my niece. My mom was able to find it.

3. What's the weirdest request you have gotten or heard thus far?One of my sisters-in-laws wanted matching Crocs for herself and her daughter. I guess they'll be on some future reality show where they can dress alike and perform in pagents together.

4. have you seen anyone fight for a product? (Like, Wiis, Elmo or something like that?)The day after Thanksgiving, I saw two ladies fighting over an IPhone at the Apple Store.

5. Where do you plan on being Christmas Eve? Hopefully at my mom and dad's showing off my newborn son. It should be a great Christmas!
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone!

Until Christmas....

1. How much shopping do you have left?
None. I finished my shopping two weeks ago. I took my mom shopping for my dad last week and took my dad shopping for my mom yesterday. Apparently they both need supervision when shopping for the other!

2. Is there an impossible gift you can't find?
My mom wants 1 pound hand weights and the smallest I can find is 2

3. What's the weirdest request you have gotten or heard thus far?
My brother asked for his rent to be paid!

4. have you seen anyone fight for a product? (Like, Wiis, Elmo or something like that?)
Nope, I try to stay far away from buying gifts that others are fighting for, but I do have a friend who saw two ladies fighting over a Wii.

5. Where do you plan on being Christmas Eve?
It's a family tradition to get dressed up, take family pictures in front of the tree and then go out to a nice dinner. Now that there are two grandkids involved (3 and 5) the dinner isn't quite as nice but Christmas is twice as fun!

I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season!

1. How much shopping do you have left?
Just my husband- he wants new lights for outside our house- ones that are dusk-dawn plus a motion sensor and in silver/pewter not brass. I can find motion ones and dusk-dawn ones but not both in the color he wants. He's about to get a gift card.

2. Is there an impossible gift you can't find?
see above. Plus a Hannah Montana pillow for my niece. I'm now glad I have boys.

3. What's the weirdest request you have gotten or heard thus far?
The pillow- I didn't know who Hannah Montana is-- I was getting her confused with High School Musical so the niece almost got a "Gabriella" pillow.

4. have you seen anyone fight for a product?
Yup- Target has wagons on sale and only one was on the shelf. The carts crashed into one another and I thought there was going to be a smackdown. Then the stock boy came with more...

5. Where do you plan on being Christmas Eve? At church for the early kids mass then at my house making my traditional Christmas Eve dinner followed by the opening of family gifts.

Omigosh....all of it. I am down with mono and just getting dressed is a chore! On top of all it, I have managed to do something nasty to my neck muscles/nerves (pinched perhaps?) and moving just slays me. sigh.

Ha! All of them are impossible. I am beginning to think our Christmases are a little jinxed. I am seriously rethinking this "present-fest" attitude. The last three or so years has been pretty bitter around here with happenings. I see good things...but the challenges can weigh a soul down.

At our house, I do all the "Christmas" everything...and this year, I would be happy to go to sleep on Dec 24, and not wake up until Dec 26.

Blue ray movies for my son-in-law??? Of course my youngest grandson...is like a George Micheals' song..."everything *he* sees is everything *he* wants".

No clue. Not sure what state I'll be in after surgery nor what everyone else is doing. Probably at home drugged up on painkillers.

5. Where do you plan on being Christmas Eve?
1. I have about 1/2 of my shopping left, but I have to wait until the end of the week when I get my paycheck.

2. My cousin wants this electronic game thingy that is called "Star life" or something to that effect. I tried Toys'R'Us but I don't know the section to look under. Now, i'm just going to get her converse shoes. lol

3. My little cousin (he's 7) wanted a toothbrush for christmas. lol.

4. I haven't see a fight, but I got in an argument with a customer. She wanted to take a shirt off the mannequin, and I told her we couldn't do that. I seriously stood there for like 10 minutes telling her no 1 bajillion different ways until I gave up and let her rant & rave to the manager.

5. At home

1. How much shopping do you have left?
Mom, Dad & boyfriend. Considering I only have $20 in my bank account, I'm going to have to get creative. Boyfriend is getting a home-made crocheted hat. =)

2. Is there an impossible gift you can't find?
A really nice tie that costs 75 cents.

3. What's the weirdest request you have gotten or heard thus far?
Boyfriend wants a harmonica. I asked for socks.

4. have you seen anyone fight for a product?
Target was a MADHOUSE yesterday. I had someone fight to cut me in line. Betch.

5. Where do you plan on being Christmas Eve?
Probably in my very uncomfortable house. Parents just decided to get a divorce, aren't speaking, and we're all living under the same roof. Or I'll bundle [x3] up, go lay on the beach and watch for Santa and his sleigh to fly by.

6. And I've decided to add in my own question - What is something that you'd like to get?
Well, luv n tpa, I'm glad you asked. I REALLY REALLY REALLLLLLY want The Tudors Season 1 on DVD. It doesn't actually come out until the first week of January, but the pre-order is available. Knowing my mother, she'd print the case cover, put it in a box and wrap it with a note that says "Coming soon." I heart Jonathan Rhys Meyers *swoon*

1. I just have to get my ex-husband his favorite after-shave (part of his present from our kids) and take my son out to buy something for my daughter.

2. Nope

3. my dad's wife wanted matching dishtowels and pot holders, non-specific in color/design/etc. Since she drinks way too much wine all the time (read, drunk), I got some with a wine design on them...lol I thought "Wine dishtowels for the whino"

4. nope, just for parking spaces at the mall after our huge snowfall. Funny story.. we got 9 inches of snow Sunday. They plowed it into MOUNTAINS in the mall parking lot. When I went there with my daughter yesterday, they had a bulldozer and semi's and they were loading the snow mountain into trucks. I have no idea where they took all the snow! We were in the mall for about an hour and when we came out, the whole mountain was gone. I've lived in the winter wonderland of Michigan my whole life and never saw them do that before!

5. My kids will open their presents at my house on Christmas Eve morning, we'll hang out most of the day then head to my aunt and uncle's house for dinner. Then the kids go to their dad's to spend the night with him and open presents at his house on Christmas Day. Who says divorced kids have it rough???

6. I've asked for a Magic Bullet for 4 or 5 years running now but nobody ever gets it for me

1. How much shopping do you have left?

Nearly done!

2. Is there an impossible gift you can't find?

A pima cotton tank or t-shirt. I have a design that I want to print on it for my sis. It's not exactly t-shirt season though.

3. What's the weirdest request you have gotten or heard thus far?

My sister asked me to go back to this cute local store and pick up a baby jumper that says "I Might Barf" on it. lol

4. have you seen anyone fight for a product? (Like, Wiis, Elmo or something like that?)

Thankfully, no. But I avoid the stores and especially malls as much as possible.

5. Where do you plan on being Christmas Eve?

Most likely: at my mom's with my sister, bother and his wife experiencing the joy that is Christmas. Ideally: alone in my apartment watching a scary movie.

6. What is something that you'd like to get?

A sheepskin cover for my car's steering wheel. I'm new to snowy weather and those things get cold!
