Question Family Poll: What do you call your grandparents?

I am always amazed at what folks call their grandparents. What do/did you call yours?

Maternal grandmother: Granny (I made her a grandmother)
Paternal grandmother(RIP): Big Mama (I followed the others)
Maternal grandfather(RIP): Only saw him once and called him grandpa
Paternal grandfather(RIP): Big Daddy (see Big Mama)

Maternal grandmother (RIP): Grandma and Dot 9her nickname)

Paternal grandmother (RIP): She passed away before I was born

Paternal grandfather: Big Ed (it's what EVERYONE calls him)

Maternal grandfather: I live with him so I call him grandpa and to make when I'm mad I call him George

I was really close with my maternal grandma and I'm dedicating my upcoming graduation to her.

Maternal Grandmother (RIP): Grandma & Miss Ann. I called her one day when she was getting into the later stages of Alzheimer's, she told me she didn't have any grandchildren, so I had to call her Miss Ann.
Maternal Grandfather (RIP): Grandpa

Paternal Grandmother (RIP): Ma Mary
Paternal Grandfather (RIP): Never had a chance to call him anything. He died when my Daddy was 2.

I did not invent these names. On both sides of my family, I am one of the younger grandchildren, if not the youngest. So, I had no choice in determining what the grandparents would be called.
Maternal Grandmother (RIP)-Muh (Her children called her this, too. Yet, they called her mother "mother")
Maternal Grandfather (RIP)-Paw Paw

Paternal Grandmother-Bamma
Paternal Grandfather-(RIP) Big Daddy

Maternal Grandmother- Granny
Maternal Grandfather (RIP)-I really don't remember him, he died when I was 2, so if he's mentioned now, I just call him Grandpop.

I didn't know my Paternal side (RIP).

On both sides Maternal and Paternal, it's/was Granny and Grandaddy!

I think when it's my turn to be a grandmother, I would prefer to be called.....MeMa

Don't know anything about my paternal family. I don't even know the "paternal."

My granny was called Granny. She died 5 months after my college graduation.

My grandfather is called Granddaddy.

Talking ooh, I like this one!

Since they reared me from the age of 3, my maternal grandparents were more like my parents, so they're Ma and Da (yeah, I'm a good ol' Southern gal originally from God's country, North Carolina). Although you didn't ask, my mom is Mommie!

Don't really remember too much of my paternal grandparents - that's another story another day.

mother's side : Grandma & Grandpa

father's side: Daddy Mac (grandfather)

That's what my father, aunts, and uncles called him so that is what we called him to. Sounds like a Pimp's name, right?

I never knew his mother. she died when he was young.
