Canada will honour man reviled as war-criminal and murderer
This Nov.11th (Rememberance Day) a series of five statues and nine busts will be unvieled at the National War Memorial in Ottawa, to honour and commemorate valiant Canadians from the past 400 years of conflict... and one will be Lt.-Col. John Butler, the leader of Butler's Rangers. Sure he was a loyalist hero for the Brits and Canadians, but most Americans remember him as a war-criminal and murderer infamous for his bloody raids during the American Rebellion/Revolution War.
I'm sure this will cause some issues with are more military or history minded American cousins... as might the one of Joesph Brant. Anyways it'll make for some very interesting discussions at RMI this weekend...
