If you're the one going through rush, it's competitive. All of these schools follow RFM and as such as long as you accept all of your invitations you have a very high likelihood of finding a sorority home. Competitive generally means competition to get into a select number of sororities at a particular campus, not placement in general. Even at the most competitive schools virtually every girl who sticks with it finds a home at the end. Don't drop out, be happy with your new list of invitations (regardless how small) for each round and you'll be fine.
Unless you're 22 or older, in which case you are going to have a very rough go. All of these are traditional Greek systems and non-traditional students (by age or marital status as a for instance) will not do well.
