Knights in Shining Armor ...
... Get rusty and dull. Hang it up. Its over. Chivalry might not be dead, but it might as well be. Try to be nice and what happens? This...Okay. I'm at a party and i'm looking for my friend so I can talk to him and the girls we met earlier. Its crowded and I start trying to make my way through. This one guy says "whats up." Then he grabs this girl and starts bumping and grinding on her. Not really dancing he looked like a horny dog humping somebody's leg. I can tell by the look on her face (she looked at me, like "WTF?") that she wasn't at all into it. So i put my arm between them and kind of push the guy off. NOt hard. NOt like a "I heard you were talking smack, what are you gonna do, leading up to a fight" kind of push, just a gentle, but firm, push to guide him out of the way. He tried pushing back with his body closer to her (probably too drunk to notice what i was doing) so i look at her and she looks like she wants me to do something, so i push him again the same way, only harder this time and say, "hey buddy, i'm trying to hook up" He said alright and walked of. I start TALKING to her. Not DANCING or GRIDING on her. I was TALKING. I asked if that guy was bothering her and she said "not anymore." Two lines into the conversation after that, her friend grabs her arm and pulls her away from me. WTF???!!! Where was she like, half a minute earlier when the girl was getting dry humped?? She was dancing with some guys. Two, in a sandwich. And she can't let her friend TALK to the guy that got mr. happy crotch to stop compulating with her leg. I swear, you try to do the right thing, and it ends up biting you in the ass. So thats it, I gues I read the facial expressions wrong. Maybe she wasn't disconcerted by the situation. Maybe that guy gave her an orgasam right there in a sweaty, smoky basement. So I quit. Next time I see that, I"m just going to ingore it, because apparently the odds are better that her freaky ass is getting off more than the moron bothering her. So here lies chivalry. It dies with me.
