Hello! I am an initiated member of Kappa Kappa Gamma at a large school in the Midwest. For academic reasons (changing my major) and a scholarship opportunity, I am transferring to an SEC school in the spring. I am currently still in my first semester of college and rushed this past August.

How likely is a huge SEC chapter of KKG to vote in a transfer student? I understand the process of affiliation, but I am concerned about my chances of getting in. I would absolutely love to stay in my sorority, but it would break my heart if they did not want me!

If anybody has an idea of my odds or any general advice that would be great!

No one here can tell you your chances of being accepted into the chapter. We don't know you, and we don't know what the chapter is going to decide.

You might contact the chapter in question (the president) and inquire about their affiliation process, etc. They may have events where they allow non affiliated women to attend. And you'll always be a KKG whether you affiliate or not.
