University of Tennessee Knoxville Rush 2011
I will be attending UT in the Fall, and I plan on rushing! I have heard that it is competitive - but maybe not as competitive as other SEC schools such as Ole Miss or Bama. I was wondering if anyone has rushed at UT or has any insight to this! I have a few friends in sororities up there already, but I just want a second opinion from other people. Thanks so much!

Yes! It is very competitive! Get recs for sure and try to not get too stressed! Good luck!!

Very competetive, but if you are open to all chapters and maximize your options you should have a good result. Good luck!

Titchou- The 2012 Panhellenic recruitment team at Knoxville said on a couple of occasions that more than one rec isn't necessary, and that it isn't a huge deal if you don't have any recs. They seemed to stress this. I got recs for all but three chapters, and 2 recs for a chapter I really think I'll fit in with. Should I be worried?

It's really too late for you to do anything at this point. You'll be fine. Don't worry and have a great recruitment. Keep us posted on how it goes. So jealous about the sorority village. Go Vols!

I know, but sometimes the posts on this website make me nervous. I'm still excited to rush though! I know it's about meeting people and making friends as well as becoming a sister.

Just remember this: everyone is nervous, even the women on the other side. The best thing you can do is to be well rested, look your best, and smile.
