OH JOHNNYB, the things that you will find out about and learn during your college years.... Congradulations and good luck, but just be careful and keep in mind the REAL reasons that you are going off to college. It IS a priviledge.
I'm an old-schooler (I went off to undergrad in 1988). Plus I went to a HBCU. So college is not like it was back in the day. It was (for the most part) all about partying, having fun, meeting people, doing your own thing, and, oh yeah, furthering your education.

But it's easy to get caught up in the first four things mentioned (and that could hinder or even RUIN the fifth thing). Believe me, I DEFINITELY had my fun, but a lot of it wasn't worth it so try to stay focused.
I too led a very sheltered life before going off to college. I didn't have anyone to actually tell me about anything or show me the ropes (I am the FIRST and ONLY one in my immediate family who went to college much less get a Masters). I was just out there---basically on my own. I made LOTS of mistakes---ones that I wouldn't want anyone to make and the sad part is that I can't go back and change ANY of it. But, unlike many, I got my head on straight and finally finished.
You can believe that college is most certainly "A DIFFERENT WORLD". Have fun and all that, but don't forget that those times don't last forever. Take advantage of this opportunity (like I KNOW you will).
BE BLESSED AND GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!
By the way, no, I've never played strip-poker, but I've heard some explicit stories from those who have.
