Today, the Application for Charter from the Parkland College Petitioning Group in Champaign, IL was sent off to the Region VI Director and Section 50 Chair for approval. It weighs in at 158 pages (not counting the individual Applications for Active Membership), and contains a very comprehensive and balanced program of Leadership, Friendship and Service that should guide them far into the future.
Assuming all goes well (and I see no reason why it would not), we will be welcoming 16 students, 6 advisors and 4 honorary members into our Brotherhood in late January/early February of next year. Parkland will be the first brand-new chapter in Section 50 since Omega Epsilon chartered in April 1976.
