The affectionate to sex parts

Anyway I always wondered about the timing of when 2 people go from getting to know each other to affectionate, then to the intimacy. How many dates did it take? I know its not a number and I know its when 2 people feel comfortable that they do this, but exactly at what point does it start being comfortable to do so?

I see in movies all the time, it's like virtually the same day, all of this happens, but in real life, how long did it take for your partner(s) to start smuggling kisses, hugs, show affection before getting down to the nitty gritty? Is it the same in real life as in the movies??

Just curious is all. I always wondered this in reality how long to 2 people finally show physical affection for one another. I am imagining the casual sex or one night stands are different?
