Too old to pledge?

And be accepted? Hello everyone, I'm new to the board, but have gotten great info. Anyways I want to pledge AKA hence my username, but I am afraid that IF I do get to pledge will I be able to participate in activities and organizations such as charities, volunteering, strolling,etc. By the way I am a 23 year old college freshman , and want to pledge my sophomore year, is this possible?
