Help! Need a nickname for my little asap, like by tomorrow
My new members are getting in tomorrow and thats when we give them nicknames, well I'm having a hardtime coming up with one for my little. She's really smart, and she's always asking for more library hours, she's little like 4'11, and jus really tiny all around, she's really sweet and out going, and she talks a lot and she talks w/ her hands, lol and suggestions, i want the nickname to be really cute. I thought of thumbalina, and bookworm, but i don't really like them too much

What about Munchkin? That's one of my nicknames for my little since she's short (but not under 5 foot) and I am on the taller side.

In my experience, nicknames just happen. I don't think they should be created at the last minute (or by people from a chat board, for that matter). I'd hate to be stuck with something just because I HAD to have a nickname.

That's what got me.
@ the OP: I don't know if you'll get a great idea for a nickname at the last minute from a message board, but you're blowing this out of proportion and making this wayyy too difficult. It's not like memorizing the Bill of Rights in 24 hours. It's a one or two word nickname. You know some good details about her from your description. IMHO, if you pick something that she can recognize about herself, then she'll be happy.

If it wasn't for the fact that I'm 1.) a Phi Mu, and 2.) already have an awesome big I'd think I was your little

I agree with NutBrnHair... please don't just give her a name to give her a name. I'd think it's better if you tell her you are still thinking of it and want to get to know her better before you give her one. Otherwise, she might end up not liking/being proud of her nick and that would stink.

definitely agreeing with what everyone said already. Also, ask around to some people who also know your little well... I'm sure they could help you come up with something. I know my nickname was an idea from my big's roommate... who didn't know me that well but was able to put together something as crazy as "randohalomo" from stories that my big told her.

Nicknames are kind of gay. I get the feeling that they became super popular after animal house.
Nicknames in our house come naturally, but everyone has over four or five.
The more ridiculous the better.
