I love Greek!

I'm a freshman in high school and I'm addicted to the TV show Greek. I watched the premiere last night. Is living in a sorority anything like that TV show? How is is the same or different? If it's anything like that at all I would definitely rush. If you've seen Greek please let me know what you think. My older sister will be rushing before me, but I can't wait to hear from you because this is the big greek life page.

Yes and no. While there are some similarities, there are a lot of things that are fictionalized as wel.

Everyone has different sorority life experiences.

My suggestion? Get good grades and get involved as much as you can in high school. Those two things are VERY IMPORTANT in recruitment. Enjoy high school while you can don't really think about Greek Life until the time calls for it.

Is being in high school anything like The Secret Life of the American Teenager? Are you pregnant? I bet you and all of your friends are pregnant or a super slut girl, or crazy christian with a retarted adoptive brother and whoes mother used to be married to the father of the pregnant girl. ABC family shows are so realistic!

To OTW: Thanks for your nice answer. I'm in an IB program at a private school and so far have an unweighted GPA of 4.0, but it's always a challenge. I'll be sure to study hard and continue to be involved in school activities. I look forward to hearing about my sister's experience when she goes through rush.
