Nafd
That's North American Food Drive.
My guys at Florida Tech have informed me that IHQ set a goal for each chapter to collect 8,500 lbs, of food; they set their own goal at 10,000 lbs. Perhaps it's better in their own words...
Brothers -
Today was bag pick up. As you can tell by the time stamp on this e-mail...it's been a long day. However, I am happy to report that 12,917 pounds of food made its way to the Brevard Sharing Center. That doesn't include all the houses we may have missed today (I know of at least 3 definately). If I'm not mistaken, that's a new record for us. Now, I'm outta here cuz I'm exhausted.
Sharky
Once again Sharky has beaten me to it. The only thing that I will add is
about our goals. National headquarters set a goal of 8,500 pounds of food
for all chapters across the US. Beta Nu Zeta set our own goal at 10,000
pounds of food. Guess what, we beat them both. I dedicate today to my
grandmother who sadly passed away this morning. My parents told me to
stay in Melbourne for now and do the food drive. She said that it was what
my grandmother would have wanted. I told most of the brothers this morning
that I wanted to reach that goal of 10,000 for her and we did. I know she
is smiling down upon us all.
I am truly proud to be a Lambda Chi.
Rob
...yeah Rob, me too!
I'd like to hear the results from other chapters around the country and Canada. How did we all do this year overall? I hear some is being sent to Southern California for all the people displaced due to the wildfires.
It's great that Lambda Chi can make a difference at times like this.
