Talking Lavaliering

Soooooo... I have a question. My name is George (Don't think anyone actually reads the introductions, so thought i'd say it again). I'm a Lambda Chi at Osu. MY question goes toward lavaliering (duh, why else would it be in the title). Any who, I wanted to lavaliere my boyfriend as a way to show him how much I love him, but don't know how to go about the process. I've looked up information online, but can't find anything about one guy lavaliering another. Anyone have any advice?

Things about him- G.D.I., has no intention of joining any fraterntiy, starting college in the fall after taking a couple years off since high school.

It will be hard for you to get an answer here because lavaliering traditions vary SO MUCH from campus to campus.

^ What DBB said. Ask your brothers - they are the best source of advice.

It's a little different for same-sex couples. When a woman is lavaliered by a member of an all-male fraternity, there is no question - the fraternity member and the woman are in a serious relationship, and the woman is obviously not a member of the fraternity. But when a man is lavaliered by his boyfriend, there could be some confusion as to whether the boyfriend is a member of the fraternity.

I am just not familiar with men wearing a lavaliere at all. Now I am talking about the traditional lavaliere: small gold or silver letters worn on a necklace. Maybe you some other way of wearing the letters in mind.

and please.... don't call him a GDI. That is just not a nice term.
