There are TONS of sororities and they are all different. I would start with asking yourself why you would want to join a sorority or fraternity(it's a LIFELONG commitment and some people don't take into account when going down this path). After that, determine what type of sorority you'd like to join. There are many to look at; the focus can range from community service to mulitculturalism to academic areas.

There is also a new forum for interested people like us to chat at http://pub63.ezboard.com/bsisterfriendnetwork

If you'd like someone to talk to 1-1, let me know and I'll drop you a line. Good luck!

That depends on the sorority. For an NPHC sorority, no, it will (should) not affect your chances of acceptance.

The rules about marriage for NPC sororities differ, if I'm not mistaken. Check the thread below for more clarification:

Marriage while a member

Also if you perform a Search, you should be able to find more info on this topic. Good luck.

Hi bb_grl, like Miss Zeta Ace says it does depend on the sorority and which council they are in as well as locals and MC groups. There are a lot of other groups though that don't have set rules on being Married. I know a lot of the MC groups don't have that ruiling either. Well I hope you find what your looking for, and if u need help looking for info or anything, I'll be glad to help

Our chapter doesn't care if you are married, however, I know of three other sororities on my campus that make in mandatory to go alum once married.
