I went last year with my youngest son, I even took him out of school early so we could make Joss Stone, followed by Spoon (who I love) and the KILLERS (who were AWESOME). Then Saturday, Raul Malo, Blue October, Arctic Monkeys, Paolo Nutini and front row for ARCADE FIRE (a religious experience), followed up by Sunday with me watching Lucinda Williams and Robert Earl King to keep our front row spot for Wilco, while my son watched Bloc Party and Ben Kweller. Such a good line up last year (and the year before) even going down to the side stage acts.
I'm just not as crazy about the lineup this year. I would like to see Beck and one of my all time favs Patty Griffin, but beyond that there aren't any that I love. I like Band of Horses, the Raconteurs, and a few others. I heard the Mars Volta puts on a great show, but after Arcade Fire and the Killers, I don't think they can hold a candle. JMHO
I'm not going this year... My son isn't pushing it, so I'm not either.
2006 lineup was better too - Massive Attack, the Flaming Lips, the Shins, etc.
2005 was insane with Coldplay, Widespread Panic, Oasis, Death Cab, many great bands!!!
I love the show though, it's really well planned out, the food is good and cheap, there are tons of potty facilities and it's pretty easy to get in and out (except for last year when they had that fire on Friday, that made the lines insanely long).
I'll wait til next year and see who's coming. I'm also going to investigate going to Bonaroo with my oldest before he enters the work force... I've heard that Bonaroo is a bit primitive for my tastes though
