'Laugh-in' comic Dick Martin dies at 86
For the old-timers....
Say good night, Dick. "Good Night, Dick"
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Dick Martin, the zany half of the comedy team whose " Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In" took television by storm in the 1960s, making stars of Goldie Hawn and Lily Tomlin and creating such national catch-phrases as "Sock it to me!" has died. He was 86.

RIP...I use to watch this every week.

I just now got around to reading the paper, and saw that. Makes me sad, because Laugh-In was one of those shows that I never missed. And that was back in the day when it was new!

RIP-show was truly one of those that you did not konw just how good it was, and the people in it, until later on.

For me as well, and lots of others in my generation.
Good night, Dick.

this sucks. One of my earliest memories is refusing to go to bed because I wanted to stay up and watch Laugh-In.
When did Dan Rowan die? He was fairly young, wasn't he?

He died of lymphatic cancer at age 65 in 1987.
He was diabetic and a heavy smoker.
I didn't realize this until I Googled him, but he was also a WWII fighter pilot.
