'Laugh-in' comic Dick Martin dies at 86
For the old-timers....
Say good night, Dick. "Good Night, Dick" LOS ANGELES (AP) — Dick Martin, the zany half of the comedy team whose "Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In" took television by storm in the 1960s, making stars of Goldie Hawn and Lily Tomlin and creating such national catch-phrases as "Sock it to me!" has died. He was 86. http://tv.msn.com/tv/article.aspx?news=315865>1=7703 RIP...I use to watch this every week. |
I just now got around to reading the paper, and saw that. Makes me sad, because Laugh-In was one of those shows that I never missed. And that was back in the day when it was new!

RIP-show was truly one of those that you did not konw just how good it was, and the people in it, until later on.

Good night, Dick. Rest in peace. |
this sucks. :( One of my earliest memories is refusing to go to bed because I wanted to stay up and watch Laugh-In.
When did Dan Rowan die? He was fairly young, wasn't he? |
^^^^^^I know already you will hate me for this;):D
But per imdb.com: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0746387/ Sept 22, 1987 |

He was diabetic and a heavy smoker. I didn't realize this until I Googled him, but he was also a WWII fighter pilot. |
Good night, Dick.
