So is it impossible for GC moderators to rename threads if they take a 10 page detour to a more important topic? With exception of a few posts, everything was civil in that thread.
If the original topic no longer matters (if SEC's visiting chapter has visiting then...now what? The OP wasn't the one screaming for the OT) then why can't more important things be discussed?
Can threads not be split by moderators as they are on other boards?
If we kept typing in the "Visiting Chapters" thread, you would lock it but does that really matter when the visiting chapter has visited, anyway? Do other threads that are no longer relevant get locked, too? No.
This isn't about "free speech." This is about making sense of the little rules. If moe.ron says "because I say so" then I'll just conclude he/she's lame and knows the rule doesn't make sense.
