				 Antibiotics for a Broken Heart

This weekend, I was doing some extra spring cleaning in an effort to take my mind off a very recent break-up. I won't go into details about what happened 'cause I'm trying to move on. Let's just say, I got dumped for NO warranted reason at all (unless being giving and loving, and treating the black man like a King are grounds for being dumped). To get myself in the cleaning mood, I pumped up the volume on my stereo while jamming to some of my favorite CDs.
What I've discovered is that if you're trying to get over a break-up, ANGIE STONE'S CD IS JUST WHAT YOU NEED!!! It's the for real GIRLPOWER CD!

Here are other songs that work, too--

 1. Survivor (Destiny's Child)
 2. After the Love (Brian McKnight)
 3. Kiss Your Love Goodbye (Brian McKnight)
 4. Someday (Mariah Carey)
 5. Tears Ago (Rahsaan Paterson)
 6. Runnin' Outta Time (Da Brat)
 7. All in My Mind (Full Force)
 8. All Cried Out (Allure & 112)
 9. Slo'ly Surely (Jill Scott)
 10. LOVE (Musiq Soulchild) My Personal Favorite

What other tunes do YOU recommend?!?!?!

			Hello everyone!
It's been a good while since I have been in your shoes...

But, one's I remember listening to and recently have heard, if I were in this situation would be:

"Bitter" (the *igga version ) Chante Moore
"Breakdown" Mariah Carey
Any song by Sade
Share My World CD Mary J
My Life CD Mary J
Angie Stone is da bomb!
"Love Under New Management" Mikki Howard ('member her?)
Dang, I can't remember them all (I guess that's a good thing). My music is in boxes (I'm getting ready to move). If I think of others, I will come back!

Sista, keep your head up! Everything will be fine! Your sunshine is coming, and you'll be all cried out!

Just a few songs that I've listened to in the past after being dumped by a few SOME ONES that I thought was "Mr. Right". It took a few tries, but THANK GOD, I got over that creep and married a REAL MAN.
1. Last Cry by Brian McNight
2. Love Rain Down on Me by Jill Scott (but all songs on the Jill Scott CD will work).
3. Deep in My Heart by Lauren Hill
4. After the Love is Gone by Earth, Wind, and Fire
5. Change Coming/It Will Come To Pass by Hezekiah Walker and the Love Fellowship Crusade Choir
6. So I Creep by TLC (this was my anthem when my past boyfriend cheated on me and I found out).

There are sooo many inspirational songs out there (old and new). If I think of any more, I'll hit you up. But until then, remember that you are special and that chump is really the one who's missing out!!! Stay strong Sisterfriend.

 an excerpt...

 "Dear Diary
I remember like it was yesterday
 It was October 30th
I no longer have any need for these worldly things
I wanna go where he is
I’ll follow the fire in the sky
And just like that I’ll be gone

You took my heartbeat from me
 This is the saddest story
What was wrong with my love
Your took my heartbeat from me
Should have just stabbed it for me
 From ashes to dust
I just wanna get along with you"

then i got my music that will get over it and move along....F*$* you!!

I would have to go with the whole damn Toni-Braxton cd...the second one, I can't remember the name. Songs like:
 Don't break my heart
 Find me a man

I'll be right back...I gotta do some research!

 Okay, I got it now....

The name of the cd is "Secrets"
And listen in this order, it kinda takes me through the "stages" really quick.

 There's No Me Without You
 I Love Me Some Him
 In The Late Of Night
How Could An Angel Break My Heart
 Un-Break My Heart
 Why Should I Care
Let It Flow - (from "Waiting To Exhale")
 I Don't Want To
 Find Me A Man

These are the "stages" I go through:

I feel pitiful. Then I think about how much I love him, I cry and I ask why me...again. Then I want it all undone and I feel pitiful some more.
Then I say F***k em'; I put on my dress and say F***k em'!!!
Then I eventually gets back in the game.

 BE STRONG!!!

Don't forget the blues, I always gotta play Bobby Blue Bland and Etta James after a break up.
And "Vanishing" by Mariah Carey.

When I'm in vengeance mode, I play Kelis "Caught Out There" and Brownstone "Grapevyne." THAT one got me through Junior year of college.

 | Yes, Honey!! Toni's CD got me through a serious break up from my FIRST LOVE during college. Funny thing is HE wants ME back now after it took me almost 2 years to truly get him out of my system.
The other CDs/Songs was SWV's 2nd CD, primarily the songs FINE TIME (that was my anthem for 2 years), What's It Gonna Be?, Love is So Amazing, Use Your Heart.

The 2nd CD was Monifah's first CD: #3 It's ALRIGHT and #11 YOU SHOULDA TOLD ME.

Mary J. Blige: My Life

Finally, FAITH EVANS: Songs #13-15, that's it and that's all.

SALIENCE, YOU TOO?? on the GRAPEVINE, that was my song. It was my junior year and senior year #1 as well.

			"It Wasn't Me" by Shaggy
No, really, "I Can't Make You Love Me" by Bonnie Raitt is a great broken heart song

The cure for your broken heart doesn't lie in song or music. Place your heart in my large hands and I'll mend it. Let your lips taste the fullness of mine and they will stop trembling, let your eyes gaze upon the wonder that is a true Omega man and they will stop crying, place your body within the strong embrace that is the embodiment of Manhood and you will never feel abandoned. Satisfy your hunger for love with a meal of dark chocolate Man who understands the yearning, passions, needs, wants, and desires of his Black Queen and you will sing a new song. Feel betta shuga?

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words - "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean ? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind

Have you heard Prince's version of "I Can't Make You Love Me"?
In my case, I'm just "Bitter" about the way the brotha handled things. If a man doesn't want to be with me, I'd hope he'd be honest, considerate, respectful and "Just Be a Man About It". There's no easy way to end a relationship with someone who loves you (Do What I Gotta Do), but there is definitely a WRONG way--he chose the latter. I am just disappointed that "We Can't Be Friends". I always prefer that my relationships end on a good note where, in time, we can put the past behind us an be platonic friends. Such is the case for three of my best male friends to date--we are like siblings now.

Luckily, there are Omegas like DoggyStyle82,whose friendships are everlasting and forever essential. Doggy, I'll be on the next flight out...

			Hi All,
Reading your posts reminded me of some old relationships. But even more so, it makes me ever so thankful for the wonderful lady that is now in my life. Sisters and Brothers that are currently wondering when and if you will meet the right person know that it can happen. Just keep the faith.
