I saw a preview the other night - it looks pretty good. Canadian tv has really improved over the last few years, so we shall see if this is another hit.

The VCR is set....it does look like a funny show.
And hey...I lived in Alberta for a while, I witnessed some of those characters as portrayed in the show, first-hand. oy......

I am currently in Alberta - Calgary to be exact - seeing what Cowtown has to offer. However, it will have to be damn good to uproot me from Vancouver. So far all I can say is that it's flat and brown ... But housing prices are reasonable...
...ok, enough hijacking. I'm hoping to catch tonight's premier of Little Mosque on the Prairie.

I left in October 2004.
bcdphie, if you want the lowdown on Calgary, I'd be pleased to tell you about my experiences there; both good and bad.
If you think summers in Vancouver are short, just wait until Calgary.

I just watched it now. It was okay. I give it an 8 out of 10. It was too much of the "terrorist" jokes, etc. Hopefully it will improve.
Amaar is a definite babe...hubba hubba.

For Little Mosque fans who can get the CBC:
Carlo Rota (Yassir) will be playing Othello, airing on CBC June 15. The movie is directed by Zaib Shaikh, who plays Amaar on the Little Mosque.

I love this show. I can't wait for new episodes. It's the only decent thing the CBC has to offer.

Toronto — Little Mosque on the Prairie is about to move up to the broadcasting big league south of the border.
WestWind Pictures, the producers of the CBC Television hit comedy, has signed a deal with Twentieth Century-Fox Television to create an American version of the series. Created by Zarqa Narwaz, Little Mosque follows the lives of a small Muslim community in the fictional Canadian prairie town of Mercy. The intent behind the new deal is to remount the series in a U.S. setting.

Not sure if it's a good idea...
American version to air on Fox some time next year
