Little Mosque on the Prairie
New Canadian show deals with Muslim life in small town Canada. This show has caught the attention of US media.

I saw a preview the other night - it looks pretty good. Canadian tv has really improved over the last few years, so we shall see if this is another hit.

The VCR is set....it does look like a funny show.
And hey...I lived in Alberta for a while, I witnessed some of those characters as portrayed in the show, first-hand. oy......  |

I am currently in Alberta - Calgary to be exact - seeing what Cowtown has to offer. However, it will have to be damn good to uproot me from Vancouver. So far all I can say is that it's flat and brown :(... But housing prices are reasonable...
...ok, enough hijacking. I'm hoping to catch tonight's premier of Little Mosque on the Prairie. |

bcdphie, if you want the lowdown on Calgary, I'd be pleased to tell you about my experiences there; both good and bad. If you think summers in Vancouver are short, just wait until Calgary. |
I want to see this show so. bad.

I just watched it now. It was okay. I give it an 8 out of 10. It was too much of the "terrorist" jokes, etc. Hopefully it will improve.
Amaar is a definite babe...hubba hubba. |
For Little Mosque fans who can get the CBC:
Carlo Rota (Yassir) will be playing Othello, airing on CBC June 15. The movie is directed by Zaib Shaikh, who plays Amaar on the Little Mosque. |
I love this show. I can't wait for new episodes. It's the only decent thing the CBC has to offer.
