Britney Spears: For the Record (MTV doc)
Did anyone else watch?
I will say that she is looking TONS better than she has looked in the past (probably due to being back in the swing of things with music, promoting, etc). Sure, she's not "Slave for You" Britney, but it's baby steps I guess.
I also thought it was interseting how honest she was about her marriage. I half expected her to be PC and say that they were "so in love and such but it just didn't work out", but she was kind of like "eh, well it seemed like a good idea at the time."

I didn't watch it completely, but I liked what I saw. It reminded me of the good Britney back "in the day." She did look a LOT better.
Like I said, I only saw little bits here and there, but from what I saw it seemed like she wouldn't take responsibility for her actions. She kept saying it was the paparazzi's fault.

Yeah, there was alot of "I'm a prisoner in my own home" going on.

Thought the doc was interesting. Felt sorry for her at times because you can see she was still struggling with some issues. I know there was more that she wanted to say, but couldn't. But l loved the end when she said "I'll have a great book."
at the number of paprazzi's that follow her.
LOL at Jamie and the cheese grits.

I watched it. I like that she seemed really honest about most things (e.g. the JT breakup, the K-Fed marriage, etc). I don't know how I felt about her answer when they asked her about her shaving her head... but you know, I am not her, and only the person going through something can really know what they were thinking/experiencing.
I heard on the radio that she had final editing privilages, so who knows.
I think her new single is going to be a hit... the video looks really good too.
Good for her for trying to get her life back together.

I was reminded of what a cool dancer she was...I sort of forgot about that with all of her recent problems.

Yea - I hope she does more dancing in the future b/c she used to be so good.
The past couple of performances that I've seen (Good Morning America - just a few mins ago, and her recent performance on The X Factor on YouTube) it's REALLY obvious that she's lip-singing (they use the exact same radio version of the songs) and she's doing a LOT of walking around a'la the 2007 VMAs.
She used to be such an awesome performer - hopefully she gets that back before going on tour.

I watched a little bit of her on GMA this morning too and thought it was way too much walking around. What happened to all her time in the dance studio? It definitely isn't reflected in her performances.
I DVR'd the documentary and watched it last night- my and my boyfriend's first reaction was her mouth and jaw movements made her seriously look like she was doing coke. I turned it off about halfway through, I was expecting it to be more interesting.

I hope you're right- I just bought my best friend tickets to her show here in Dallas for her birthday. It would be nice to have the old Britney back for that.
