Sooooo.....since I know most of the sisters on here I thought I'd share this story (a couple might roll there eyes at this one 'cause they've heard it 5 times).
About 3 weeks ago I got an email from "the one that got away."

He and I dated while I was in chapter and his experience with our chapter changed his perspective on sorority's. I was CLVP trying to become Pres, which eventually happened, but he had great respect for our girls and they loved him too. Anyway, we didn't make it though college as a couple, but we've kept up over the years to see how we were (6-7 yrs).....found out last year that he had been married for about 2 years (even though I expected he would be, I was still devestated after all these years).
Anyway, a few months ago he went out with a group of guys from his platoon (he's a Marine) and started dancing with this girl...she brought him back to her table of friends who happened to be sorority sisters. He asked which sorority???? Alpha Xi Delta!!!!

He had a good laugh and explained that he knew a group of crazy Xi's back home!
This run in with our sisters prompted him to email me after a year to share the story and ask "oh by the way how are you doing?" His news....he is getting out of the Corps in 3 months and is in the process of a divorce (I do feel sad about this...ok kinda! For him yes, for her...not so much. Bad Trish! Very VERY bad Trish!!!).
I haven't asked what school the AZD's were from in North Carolina, but I should and then send a fat donation to Foundation in their honor!!!! All I can say is AMEN for my letters and a group of sisters out dancing!! Needless to say.....I was thankful to be a Xi when I heard that story! Heeheehee!!! And, yes, we are still communicating, though,
very causually.
