NPC Founding Dates...Spring or Fall?
I've seen threads with all of the YEARS listed, but I was curious if more groups were founded in the fall or in the spring.
Chi Omega began April 15, 1895, so we started in the spring.

Alpha Delta Pi was founded on May 15, 1851, also in the spring.
But for the chapters which are already out for the year by then, they celebrate Founders' Day on their individual chapter's Founding Day (ours in February 15, 1851 - notice a pattern?).

Phi Mu was founded on January 4, 1852 and made their public announcement on March 4, 1852 which is what is celebrated as our Founder's Day.
So we are a winter group

I haven't read any of the early issues of the Quarterly but I wonder if the standard school year calendar as we know it now was the same during our founding. If it was then AGD's Founders must have established AGD when classes were already ended for the summer. I think I remember reading somewhere (probably here on GC in Maria's fabulous trivia thread) that not all our 11 Founders were present on that day.
Either way, while our founding date is May 30, 1904 we formally celebrate the day with International Reunion Day in April. While our different chapters generally use different Saturdays during the month to celebrate, the idea and purpose remains the same!

The Kappa Phi Club was founded in January of 1916 (I don't believe there is an exact date) - so we're a winter group.
