So my sorority advisor and teaching assistant from my department tried applying for jobs thas we as students have been applying for.
Personally I have been applying in the pharmaceutical sales area and have dropped my resume so may times that I have lost track. Feeling my frustration she did the same and after no luck, she helped me search and apply for more positions. As a last resort she contacted a close friend at a pharmaceutical company and passed along my resume and cover letter.
After weeks and weeks of no news I e-mailed her friend on Monday, a week later she replied and said she hadn't forgot about me, but that their company has been out on vacation (mind you they have had my resume for a month now) But anyways she said she is more than willing to answer my questions and that HR has my info and will be contacting me by the end of the week and that in the mean time to contact her at my earliest convenience to discuss some stuff
YAY!
And if any of you have contacts in the pharamceutical field I will be more than willing to take full advantage of them
