Bobby McFerrin to Perform at Georgetown

Dear DC Alumni,

Bobby McFerrin will be performing at Georgetown University's McDonough Gym on November 22 at 8:00 pm.

McFerrin's residency, which began in September, will culminate with various events, including the McDonough performance, a poetry classes, a cappella groups, and physics classes. Some of these events are open to the public, including an a cappella competition in Gaston Hall at 1:15 on Friday, November 21. The winning group will be featured in the Saturday night show.

McFerrin is a ten-time Grammy Award-winning musician who is renowned the world over as singer-songwriter, conductor, and vocal innovator. He is also a passionate spokesperson for music education. The event costs $25 for general seating. To reserve a seat, please contact the performing arts center at performinngarts@georgetown.edu or 202 687-3838.

It's a shame that he's only known for "Don't Worry - Be Happy". McFerrin is a one-man wonder. It's amazing the music he makes by using only his voice and body.
