Some of these events are open to the public, including an a cappella competition in Gaston Hall at 1:15 on Friday, November 21. The winning group will be featured in the Saturday night show.

McFerrin is a ten-time Grammy Award-winning musician who is renowned the world over as singer-songwriter, conductor, and vocal innovator. He is also a passionate spokesperson for music education. The event costs $25 for general seating. To reserve a seat, please contact the performing arts center at performinngarts@georgetown.edu or 202 687-3838.

if you can't make it to the concert, don't worry, be happy!

It's a shame that he's only known for "Don't Worry - Be Happy". McFerrin is a one-man wonder. It's amazing the music he makes by using only his voice and body.

Holy cow!!! I didn't know this guy was still performing! I still think of the 80s whenever this guy is mentioned.
