When I was President, our Exec Board met every couple of months for a few hours to plan the events for about 4 months out. My opinion was that I didn't have time for meetings, and they pretty much agreed.
We don't have actual "meetings" as a whole alum chapter. We have events. Happy hours, Founders Day, Susan G. Komen Race, winery tours, holiday party, Pampered Chef party.
Most business is done by the Exec Board and elections so far (we've only been around since 99) have been done by email vote since we never had more than one person running per position.
