Sorry to bug you all with another question. I'm learning as we go.. My daughter said that in years past each girl could go up to three Pref parties. This year they can only go up to two. Each house has three time slots though. Is there an advantage to having only up to two parties to go to? To me it seems like that gives a girl less of a chance to get matched.
Number of pref parties is usually based on number of total chapters and how the number of parties reduced over the week.
Regarding chances of being matched, two versus three parties increases a girls odds at getting her first choice. 50% versus 33%, strictly mathematically speaking.
The three slots probably just allow for smaller, more intimate gatherings. It isn't uncommon for the sororities to have more parties in a day than PNMs can attend.
