What Has Your Sorority Membership Meant To You?
I am chairing the local Sorority Info Session for our HS seniors. As part of the slideshow that will be playing while attendees arrive/get seated I would like to intersperse slides with quotes from collegians and alumnae on what their membership has meant to them.
I am looking for just 1-2 sentences. The slides will be changing every 3.5 seconds, so while I know that we could all write essays, I am simply looking for a brief statement.
Please also indicate whether you are a collegian or an alumna. If alumna, indicate number of years of membership.
So, the slide may look something like this:
My sisters constantly motivate me to be my best but they also challenge me in ways I never thought possible. --College Junior
I developed leadership skills that I wasn't even aware that I had, and those skills more than prepared me for success in my career. -Alumna, 21 year member.
I have lived in 12 different cities in the past 50 years. Joining a church and my sorority alumnae chapter are the first things I do in each new city! --Alumna, 59 year member
While I will be presenting to girls interested in NPC recruitment, our NPHC friends are welcome to weigh in as well. Again, the target audience is HS seniors as well as their moms.
*I think the great SWTXBelle asked a similar question a few years ago for her annual Badge Day column. I couldn't find that thread, but IIRC the responses were a little longer than 3.5 seconds and didn't necessarily have the demographic information.
