Arrow Frivolous Lawsuits

I just finished my two week "on call" time for jury duty and, although it was a positive experience, I am simply aghast at the number of frivolous lawsuits going on out there! The civil trial for which I was picked had a woman suing the owners of a shopping center because her handbag was stolen from her car while she ran into the pharmacy there. The kicker is that she left her car unlocked!!! Her attorney tried to argue that, since there was a sign at the entrance to the shopping center that the premises were monitored by security, his client was not remiss in leaving the car unlocked and was not out of line in assuming that the security guards would see someone taking her handbag and apprehend them.

It took us all of about 5 minutes to agree that there is no way in heck the owners of the shopping center owe this dumb broad ANYTHING! I swear, some people know NOTHING about a novel concept called taking responsibility for one's own actions! Don't make ME spend my entire day in a courtroom because you were too clueless to be careful, ya know?
