Funny Stories of Sisterhood
Since we have the "sentimental, warm fuzzies, makes you want to cry" thread about sisterhood, I thought I'd make one where everyone could talk about moments that made them laugh... they can be funny, embarrassing.. whatever you'd like. Share a moment that happened with your sisters that still makes you laugh to this day
Just to name one of mine...
I was a new member, and I was at my first mixer with the sisters. Quite a few of us were sitting around talking with some of the Sig Tau brothers. One of my pledge sisters grew up on a chicken farm, and she started talking to one of the brothers about it. At one point, for absolutely no reason, I quoted Seinfeld (as I always do), when Frank Costanza said, "Now let me understand... You got the hen, the chicken and the rooster. The rooster goes with the chicken. So who's having sex with the hen?!" Everyone looked at me funny and laughed. My good friends always know I'm quoting Seinfeld, even if they've never seen the show. The sisters didn't at that point. I was laughing hysterically trying to explain myself, and everyone was joking around and giving me a hard time with these, "Yea, ok..." comments, and we all had pretty much lost it at that point.
So.. Every year at formal, my chapter (like most) would present awards for sisters who excelled throughout the school year. Following that, we presented the "Most Likely.." awards, which were humorous awards that everyone received.
My award read: The sister most likely to not know the "difference" between a chicken and a hen.
Now share your funny stories

Haha that is pretty funny
I think this is probably the funniest thing I've done, so far, with my sisters:
Once upon a time on a stressful night before finals, some of my sisters and I found a penguin seat cover one of our alumns left behin a year or 2 ago. (The Theta Phi mascot is the penguin) Sooo, we made this video http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/v...subj=510380150
LOL and if that wasn't bad enough my sister in the seat cover decided to prance around Greek Villiage in it! Everyone got a huge kick out of it and the love I had for that sister grew a little bit more

I was sitting at the local pub with my sisters Mel (from a small farming community) and Ang (from Chicago - probably never seen a cow before she came to college) and a guy walked into the pub with a carton of eggs. Ang asks what he's going to do with that carton of eggs, and Mel says that he's probably going to put them in his beer. Ang yells "Ew you COUNTRY people put eggs in your beer???". I replied that if he was country, he would have a BASKET of eggs, and Ang yells even louder, "EWWW you COUNTRY people GROW your own eggs????". I said, "Yeah, and we go out in the field and harvest them, too, after they grow." Blank stare from Ang. So I start explaining that eggs are laid by chickens and she goes a little green. Apparently she'd never really put 2+2 together with what you're ACTUALLY eating when you eat an egg.

One of my sorority sisters (let's call her "Katy") was from Florida, and she was ALWAYS cold. We could count on her to be the first to switch from shorts to jeans, the first to break out her winter coat (as early as October), etc.
I never get cold. If it were up to me, I'd keep the thermostat in my house at 62 all winter.
So one year, during work week and rush (oops, recruitment), some of us were giving Katy a good-natured ribbing, because she was always complaining about how cold it was in the student center, where most of the sororities' rush parties were held. She was always in a sweater except during parties. I think she wore a wrap with her pref dress. Keep in mind that this was in August in Boston.
After recruitment, a small group of sisters and new members (including Katy and me) got together and went for ice cream. I happened to sit directly over an A/C vent set into the floor. So I had cold air blowing up at me, and I was eating ice cream. I shuddered and broke out in goosebumps.
Katy noticed, and said loudly, "I have to point out to you, aephi alum, that YOU ARE COLD."
The sisters got a good chuckle, and so did the new members after we explained it to them.
Katy, btw, wasted no time in moving back to Florida after graduation.

Once, we took out all of the extra mattresses and "mattress surfed" down the big staircase. It was awesome.
