Tree Theft – BSU in Indiana
Another Christmas tree chop-n-steal report, this time from Ball State University (IN), involving five members of Delta Tau Delta. The chapter president is quoted as saying that as far as he knows, it was not a fraternity activity, just guys acting on their own. Unlike the Nativity stories in Luke and Matthew, there's no mention of the guys being guided, directed, or otherwise bossed around via a star, angel(s), or dreams. See:

“. . .Arrested on preliminary charges of felony theft, felony possession of stolen property and misdemeanor criminal mischief were . . . William Stephens, 19, Carmel; Zachary Brindley, 19, Zionsville; Logan Stevens, 18, Goshen; Kaleb Barajas, 19, Indianapolis, and Taylor Hurst, 18, Fort Wayne.
. . . Police said all five suspects were members of the fraternity and students at Ball State.”
